The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has issued a press statement expressing grave concern over the question of refugees and internally displaced persons in Iraq and Turkey. The UNHCR call on all relevant parties to put aside political disputes and formulate a comprehensive plan to ameliorate this dire situation affecting dislocated civilians. The UNHCR urges parties to include a resolution to refugee issues in any forthcoming international agreements.
