Press Release- Kurdistan Round 2

First and foremost, while we recognize the challenges of minority status of Kurds within inhospitable environments, independent Kurdistan will not annex territory in Syria nor will we send peshmerga forces to support Kurds outside of our borders. We urge them to remain calm, exercise restraint and remain responsible citizens within Syria.

To further support the immediate development needs of our citizens, independent Kurdistan withdraws our small force from the Turkish border, leaving only an observatory brigade to prevent rouge actors from cross border conflict.

We would like to call to attention the strong economic potential of independent Kurdistan. We believe that our economic prosperity will be a benefit not just to ourselves but to other states throughout the region. We remain open to all potential partners especially our neighbors, and look forward to strengthen these relationships.

Additionally, the sharing of revenue from border check points with Turkey continues to be an important source of income as well as a symbol of the good relationship between independent Kurdistan and our neighbor to the north.
