NATO is concerned about the destabilizing effects of Kurdistani independence upon regional security issues and is engaged in talks with the EU member countries regarding possible nonviolent measures to curtail conflict. Both organizations have publically expressed stern warnings for any who initiate unnecessary open military engagement.
